Wasn't Saul saved on the road to Damascus when the bright light from Heaven shined down on him and Jesus spoke to him?
A: A few questions should bring us to the answer.
Did Jesus tell Saul to do anything concerning "calling on the name of the Lord", or "having his sins washed away" during their meeting on the Damascus road? (Acts 9 & 22)
Once in the city, did Ananias tell Saul anything concerning "having his sins washed away" or "calling on the name of the Lord"? (Acts 22:16)
Who shall be saved, according to Romans 10:13?
Since "the Lord" sent Ananias to the city to instruct Saul to "call upon the name of the Lord" (Acts 9:6-18; 22:16), is it possible that the Lord thought Saul was saved before receiving Ananias' instruction to "call"?
If Saul heard the instruction to "call upon the name of the Lord" to be saved (Acts 22:16), after arriving in Damascus (Acts 9:6); is it possible to reason, that he (Paul) was saved, while still on the road to Damascus?
